This collection is comprised of photographs showing the Mowery family from 1894 to the 1920s. The photographs include parents, grandparents, and grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. In addition to images of the family, there are also images of an oil gusher at Pierce Junction, train tracks through town, and a visit by a barnstormer airplane. Featuring farm animals and fields, the photographs depict a fairly rural view of the outer edges of Houston at the time....
