Braeswood Garden Club scrapbook, volume 1, 1948

This scrapbook documents the activities of the Braeswood Garden Club. The title page indicates the scrapbook covers 1939 to 1948. However, other documents within the scrapbook date as late as 1964. The scrapbook includes organizational history, a list of charter members, yearbooks, information about club projects, awards, newsclippings, photographs, and original illustrations. Also present are pages dedicated to the work of various club presidents, an issue of the Braeswood Civic Club Bulletin, and documents regarding civic issues such as garbage collection. Projects featured include Houston's Spring Festival Flower Show and the Fall Flower Show. The scrapbook was sponsored by the Houston Federation of Garden Clubs.
