1910 Census of Harris County Hispanics Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection contains raw data collected by students who were analyzing the 1910 census and identifying people of possible Hispanic origins in Harris County. The bulk of the collection are the worksheets completed by the students. There are also a few papers written by students summerizing their findings.

Biographical / Historical
The Federal Census of 1910 for Harris County spanned three microfilm rolls at the time of this project in 1986. The data sheets were completed by members of a history class taught at the University of Houston by Thomas H. Kreneck in 1986. The students in the class, Chicano History Before 1910, were each assigned an equal number of pages of the census to examine.

Arrangement
The original order of the collection has been maintained. Each folder contains the work of one student. The folders are labeled with the microfilm reel and volume number of the portion of the census that the student surveyed, along with the page numbers. One folder containing Reel 1561, Volume 69, pages153-206 was noted as missing.
