Harris County Hispanic Caucus Collection
Scope and Contents
The Harris County Hispanic Caucus (HCHC) collection contains correspondence from the HCHC committee. It also contains an application for the Housing and Community Decelopment Act of 1977. There are also press releases from the HCHC. There is also a letter intended for community members to form the Mexican American Hispanic Advisory Council.

Historical Note
In 1978, The Mexican American Hispanic Advisory Council was organized by the Harris County Hispanic Caucus (HCHC) to discuss with Houston's mayor, Jim McConn, employment, economic and political problems that the Hispanic Community faced in Texas.
