African American Miscellaneous Collection
Alex Arroyos / John F. Kennedy Photographs
Collection consists of forty one, 8x10, black-and-white photographs taken by Alex Arroyos. Images are of President John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Vice President Lyndon Johnson, and Lady Bird Johnson attending a meeting of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) at the Rice Hotel in Houston on the night of November 21, 1963.

This collection consists of biographical information on Anna Johnson Dupree and Clarence A. Dupree, as well as information on the Eliza Johnson Home, Camp Robinhood, the children’s orphanage, and the African American Community Council of Houston. The collection also includes newspaper clippings and photographs.
Antioch Baptist Church Collection
The Antioch Baptist Church Collection documents the activities of The Antioch Baptist Church from 1925-1968. This collection contains newsletters and programs that detail church related activities and services. Significant gaps exist for newsletter with most of the newsletters from 1946-1949. Church programs cover the Annual Women’s a Day and Men’s Day events and order of service. Two photographs depict congregation members during the early twentieth century and the early church leaders.

Barrie Scardino Architectural Research Papers
This collection is comprised of research materials for her books and projects about Houston architecture. It features materials from the Texas Historical Commission’s Historical Properties Survey, Rice Design Alliance’s Heart of the Park Competition, and Rice University’s Architectural Survey. Items include notes, brochures, slides, photos, press articles, letters and correspondence.

Washington High School. The contents of the collection primarily focus on Booker T. Washington High School and its theatre program.

The Calvin Wheat Photographs and Papers contain photographic works from Mr. Wheat's personal collection. Many of these photographs are relevant to Houston history during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition to photographs, Mr. Wheat's personal records are part of the collection. The documents contained in the collection reflect Mr. Wheat's interest in photography and photographic equipment.

Carl Walker Jr. Collection
The Carl Walker Jr. Collection contains the papers of Judge Carl Waker, Jr. This collection which dates from 1946 to 2002, contains newsclippings, photographs, certificates and awards, correspondence, speeches, funeral programs, and materials on oath of office. Materials document his career as a lawyer, judge, and civic leader to his community.
C. F. Smith Collection
This collection contains a selection of materials that document some of C. F. Smith’s professional activities. The collection is not comprehensive, but it does provide a glimpse into his life from 1950 to 1981.
Charles Sherman Papers
The Charles Sherman Papers are comprised primarily of photographs of sports teams from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas. Some of these include identification. The photographs date from the late 1920s. The collection also includes correspondence and newspaper articles related to Mr. Sherman and his family.

The Conrad O. Johnson Collection contains papers that highlight his career accomplishments. This collection evidences the life and legacy of the African American band and music director during the 1960s and the long-term impact of mentorship on youth. Includes funeral programs, newspaper clippings, event programs, promotion DVDs related to Kashmere Reunion Stage Band and Thunder Soul and posters.
Courtlandt Place Collection
This collection contains material created during the Courtlandt Association's work for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places in the mid-1970s.
D. B. Grimm Papers
This collection is comprised of Grimm's office records; minutes from the Pasadena Real Estate Board; and appraisal drawings created during Grimm's work as a real estate appraiser in the Houston area.

Dr. S.O. Young Papers
The Dr. S.O. Young Papers is a small collection of newspaper clippings, manuscripts, pamphlets, and correspondence relating to the activities of Dr. S.O. Young and his mother, Maud J. Young. The subject matter of the content ranges from Dr. Young's scientific writings to his thoughts on race relations during and after Reconstruction and his correspondence with fellow Confederate veterans of the Civil War. Dr. Young was also in Galveston at the time of the 1900 storm.
Ed Kilman Papers
Ed Kilman was a newspaperman in Houston for many years, working as a reporter, columnist, and an editor for the Houston Post. He also wrote a number of books on Texas history. This collection contains many of his writings, as well as personal correspondence and papers.
