Collection consists of forty one, 8x10, black-and-white photographs taken by Alex Arroyos. Images are of President John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Vice President Lyndon Johnson, and Lady Bird Johnson attending a meeting of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) at the Rice Hotel in Houston on the night of November 21, 1963.

The Dr. S.O. Young Papers is a small collection of newspaper clippings, manuscripts, pamphlets, and correspondence relating to the activities of Dr. S.O. Young and his mother, Maud J. Young. The subject matter of the content ranges from Dr. Young's scientific writings to his thoughts on race relations during and after Reconstruction and his correspondence with fellow Confederate veterans of the Civil War. Dr. Young was also in Galveston at the time of the 1900 storm.

Ed Kilman was a newspaperman in Houston for many years, working as a reporter, columnist, and an editor for the Houston Post. He also wrote a number of books on Texas history. This collection contains many of his writings, as well as personal correspondence and papers.

Scope and Contents The Edwin A. Bonewitz Papers is a small holding of manuscripts, maps, drawings, correspondence, and notes of a lay historian relating to the history of Texas and especially Houston during the Republic and early statehood periods. Although Bonewitz researched most of his adult life, the collection consists of material he compiled after 1950; the rest was destroyed.
