The Black History Calendar of Liberty County Collection is comprised of annual calendars jointly produced by the Liberty County Historical Commission and the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center in Liberty, Texas. Westmoreland Historic District Collection

Scope and Contents

The collection is comprised primarily of documents related to and supporting the petitioning of the Westmoreland Civic Association to attain historic landmark status for homes in the Westmoreland District of Houston. The bulk of the collection consists of the research on the architecture, ownership and history of individual properties in this area. It also includes some personal narratives of early homeowners, copies of the petitions and 29 photographs of the homes.
