The Eagle Papers generally cover the period from 1933 to 1955 and include political, business, and personal correspondence. The 1936 Senatorial campaign is documented as well as congressional patronage for postal jobs. Of note is correspondence related to efforts to remove potential Communist sympathizers from the United States Postal Service (USPS).
Much of the research included in this collection – saltwater barriers on the Trinity River, bus service, etc. – are projects Wildenthal addressed during his time as Houston City Attorney. Material also inlcudes his religious activities and political campaign information.
The Log Cabin Republicans Records are comprised of incorporation papers of the Texas and Houston chapters, meeting information, and the Houston chapter publication, “Log On.”
