Dr. S.O. Young Papers
The Dr. S.O. Young Papers is a small collection of newspaper clippings, manuscripts, pamphlets, and correspondence relating to the activities of Dr. S.O. Young and his mother, Maud J. Young. The subject matter of the content ranges from Dr. Young's scientific writings to his thoughts on race relations during and after Reconstruction and his correspondence with fellow Confederate veterans of the Civil War. Dr. Young was also in Galveston at the time of the 1900 storm.

Nicholson Family Papers
The Nicholson Family Papers is comprised primarily of transcriptions of William Nicholson's Civil War correspondence. William Nicholson served with the Texas Rangers and died in battle at Coosville, Georgia, in 1864. The Nicholsons were related to the House family (early Houston bankers) through marriage.
Robert P. Boyce Papers
This collection is comprised of a scrapbook, which contains newspaper clippings and mementos, a handwritten memoir and corresponding typescripts, maps, and photographs from the life of Robert P. Boyce. Included are souvenir ribbons from Confederate soldier reunions and Confederate currency with the serial numbers written by hand.
