Scope and Contents
This collection is almost entirely composed of printed, digitally accessed or photocopied newspaper articles pertaining to the May 7, 1977 slaying of Joe Campos Torres by Houston police officers, and the subsequent 1978 Cinco de Mayo riot at Moody Park fueled by it and other incidents of police brutality against Latinos during the 1970s.
