This collection contains approximately 245 photographs, which chronicle the life of Lesley Lewis "Shorty" Walker, an adventuresome Houston machinist reported to be the first Houstonian and the first Texan to build and pilot a heavier than air craft. Most of the photographs were taken by Walker.
